Our Programs
Rooted in Nature. Guided by Wonder.🌱
At Seedlings, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, explore and develop a lifelong love of learning while building a strong connection to the natural world around them.
That’s why we’ve created special programs where children can play, explore, and grow in the great outdoors.
🌱
Full Day Program - Perfect for littles and big kids who are ready to make friends, follow their curiosity, and discover the magic of nature every day.
Kindie Club – A special experience designed for Jr Kindergarteners who love adventures, big projects, and hands-on fun that keeps them learning and exploring.
🌱
With our home base in the heart of Fernwood, children get the chance to connect with nature, their community, and each other in meaningful, joyful ways.
All our programs are run by highly qualified, passionate educators and designed to promote emergent and experiential learning.
Full Day Program
At Seedlings Forest School, we embrace a child-centered, emergent curriculum grounded in play-based and nature-based learning. We believe children learn best when they are free to explore, ask questions, take risks and follow their curiosity. Through meaningful hands-on experiences in the natural world, we nurture each child’s confidence, competence, creativity and love of learning.
In our program, children spend their days playing, discovering, and adventuring outdoors. They climb, run, dig, balance, build forts, create natural art, search for bugs, and observe the changing seasons all while learning important social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Guided by our caring, certified Early Childhood Education teachers, children are supported in their explorations while being encouraged to lead their own discoveries in a safe and engaging environment.
Kindie Club
Did you know? At Seedlings Forest School, we have Kindie Club! Twice each week, our “big kids” come together for special activities and focused learning experiences designed to help prepare them for their next big adventure — Kindergarten. Through hands-on, nature-inspired exploration, children build confidence and develop important foundational skills such as handwriting, letter and number recognition, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and listening skills
Kindie Club is filled with games, creativity, curiosity, and outdoor learning opportunities that make preparing for school both exciting and meaningful. One of our favorite parts is watching the children proudly return to the group eager to share the activities they participated in and all the new things they learned.
