Forest schools are an increasingly popular and diverse way of educating that began over 50 years ago in Scandinavia. Today they're also called nature or outdoor schools.
With a strong emphasis on learning in immersive, outdoor environments, these forest programs are increasingly available to preschool aged children all the way to school age.
We feel really lucky to be working and learning together on the sovereign lands and seas of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees), and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) peoples..
